December 20, 2007 Announcement

In line with our goals for aggressive growth I am happy to announce that Hugh Bolton joined Shim Enterprise last month as President, reporting to myself. Mr. Bolton is responsible for all operations of the company, as well as leading our growth strategy for the future. Mr. Bolton brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Shim including active participation in two initial public offerings, multiple acquisitions, and building and leading Air Force and Intelligence Community business practices in excess of $100 million.

Before joining SHIM, Mr. Bolton was Senior Vice President and General Manager at NCI information Systems where he led their Air Force and National Security Programs Group. Prior to NCI, Mr. Bolton held executive positions with The Sytex Group, Inc. (TSGI) and MTC Technologies.

Before entering the corporate world, Mr. Bolton served as an Air Force officer managing the acquisition, deployment, and operation of highly sensitive Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance systems. During his tenure, Mr. Bolton worked a number of Air Force and National level systems in various positions including serving as the Program Manager for Advanced Technology Sensors and as Director of Software Engineering for the Joint Services Imagery Processing System (JSIPS).

Mr. Bolton received his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Air Force Academy and holds a Master of Science from The Air Force Institute of Technology. He resides with his wife, Bonnie, and their two children in Dayton, OH.

September 24, 2007 NSETS II Projects

Shim Set to Move Forward on NSETS II Projects. . .

 

Shim continues to partner with the best firms in order to continue to make it easy for our clients to access our staff of experts.  Lingual Information Systems Technology, our team lead on NSETS II, was one of twenty small business teams to be awarded an NSA Set-Aside for Small Business (NSETS II) program contract.  This contract vehicle will enable the NSA to obtain business, engineering, information technology, operations and training support from companies that focus on these services as core competencies.

April 19, 2007 PASS Contract
Our Prime Partner BTAS was just announced as one of the winners of the Professional Acquisition Support Services (PASS) contract.
September 2006 Awarded Mobis Contract (MAS)
Shim Enterprise has been awarded a MOBIS contract by GSA.  This contract will allow local, state, and federal government agencies access to Shim to conduct mission oriented business integration studies and services.
August 2006 Air Force Technology Conference

Shim Enterprise participated in the Air Force Technology Conference  (AFITC) held in Montgomery Alabama.  We were successful in meeting with several existing and potential new customers.

We won two (2) prizes at the AFCEA banquet. 


December 2005 SHIM Wins Contract To Support ESC/EI

Shim and Business Technologies and Solutions, Inc. (BTAS, Inc.) submitted the winning proposal to provide Engineering Process and Policy support services to the Engineering and Integration Support Squadron (EISS) of the Electronic Systems Command (ESC) located at MAFB-Gunter Annex, Alabama.  Shim and BTAS will develop, field, and maintain a standard set of life cycle management and systems engineering processes to be used by all ESC Operations Support Systems Wing (OSSW) personnel.


November 2005 SHIM Wins Contract To Support DFAS
Shim was awarded a contract follow-on to provide financial systems support to the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Denver Center, Denver, Colorado.  Shim’s support will include identifying, documenting and coordinating user requirements, performing software testing, and performing feasibility and concept studies.
August 2005 SHIM Wins Contract to Support DISA
Shim renewed a $2.4M contract to provide IT support services to the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Ogden Systems Management Center located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.  Services include installation, tuning, security administration and troubleshooting of Oracle Database Applications; UNIX, Solaris and Linux Servers; Windows Enterprise Servers; IBM OS/390 Mainframe Applications and Storage Area Network (SAN) solutions.

May 2005 SHIM teams with Battelle
Shim teams with Battelle on a successful FAST II $60m IDIQ award at NASIC.
February 2005 SHIM teams with CPA Firm
Shim teams with CPA Firm Rezneck, Fedder, and Silverman on a successful bid for $977m IDIQ contract to provide Chief Financial Officer/Information Assurance assessments for the Department of Defense.
