Shim Enterprise Inc. is seeking a motivated and well-organized individual to provide the 754th ELSG at Maxwell AFB-Gunter Annex with JAVA Architecture expertise for the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS). All work will be performed on-site at MAFB-Gunter Annex.

 

The successful candidate will assist in migrating the ARMS ad-hoc query capability from Oracle Discoverer (client/server based) to Oracle 10g web-based Discoverer. Assist with design, development, and deployment of ARMS 6.0 release.  Assist with the architecture, design, and development of future versions of the ARMS 6 application IAW ARMS database consolidation, to include ARMS 6 application software changes to support the newly consolidated ARMS database. Assist with the standardization of architecture and design of all components in future releases of ARMS. 

 

Skills Required/Preferred: 

  • Systems analysis, architecture, design, and modeling
  • Object Oriented Analysis, Design, and Programming Methodologies
  • Service-Oriented Architecture
  • Oracle 10g Application Server, Enterprise Edition (includes Business Intelligence, Forms and Reports, and Discoverer)
  • Web-based J2EE application development, to include:
    • Java
    • Java Server Pages (JSP)
    • Jakarta Struts
    • JavaScript
    • HTML
    • XML

 

Skills helpful, but, not required.

  • Knowledge of the ARMS application
  • Oracle 10g Database Server, PL/SQL
  • Spring
  • Ajax
  • Hibernate
  • Oracle TopLink
  • Java Messaging Service (JMS)
